Cry MOT today  Yep its FAILED.. No cat (but this is being sorted!!!! Mums the word), OS beam is way out (easy fix) and I have 8 holes in my floor pan..Yep that 8 and when I saw the car up on the ramps I could not believe the size on them.. A good 8 inches long and you could get your fingers in the hole (now now) and touch the carpets..
The car will be welded tomorrow and re-tested. Not sure on the final bill yet

Sorry to hear that Steve, you really have been through the wars a bit with this car recently. Lets hope once sorted that'll be it for a long time.

But its a Punto Ben therefore requires a constant flow of cash to keep it going. .

As in 275 QUID to get it thru the MOT. . Not tooooo bad..It had 8 plates, yes 8, welded underneath.. gotcha

Did they underseal it at all? Should've done it while they had the car up in the air.

Good that its fixed now, but really surprised at how much rust it had, I've not come across any cars in last 10years or so that have needed any welding on the floor and that includes the older car I have owned including 16year old integrale, and my previous 1988 and 1990 Renault 5 Turbo's.

Last car I needed welding to the floor was a 1971 VW Beetle, and that was when it was 22years old lol
