Sounds like you are having fun mate
What type of spacer do you need for the rear wheel?

I need a spacer for the right hand side (disc side) of the rear wheel to keep things tight between the wheel & swinging arm. Why you got some?

*update*
Panels in primer awaiting flatting painting & decals.

Made some brackets up for the rear hugger.

Cleaned the swingarm up ready to weld the brackets on (won't show you the end result : )

Got the bearings out.

After pissing about with mesh I found it too difficult to shape so decided to laminate straight off the old tyre, it's the perfect shape for the hugger result!

Took the barrel & head off at the weekend, everything looked fine until upon closer inspection the piston rings have welded themselves to the piston.

The barrel is fine but one of the powervalves is stuck & I need to drill one of the retaining screws out as it's rounded off.

The small end bearing rollers are seized & after cleaning the head up it's very pitted.

So a new piston kit will be ordered with small end bearing & a full gasket set I've also managed to find a company local to me who can hone the barrel & skim the head. Only slight movement (side to side) on the conrod so the big end seems fine.

I'll get a pic tomorrow mate, it's the spacer that goes between the swingarm & outer wheel bearings on the right hand side of the swingarm.

Hi all quick update:

Exhaust is back from being shotblasted & coated, had it done in greblon aka wok & oil, supposed to withstand temps up to 1200o c.

More work done on the hugger, have got more done than this but forgot my camera, will get some new pics during next week, it's just the butt ATM will need to smooth it off & take a mould from it.

Painted the tank & front mudguard, I've lacquered the decals in. After much deliberation on the colour I decided to mix my own formula, white basecoat then went over it with a pearlescent mix (wanted a fresh modern look) then lacquer unfortunately my camera is quite old & doesn't really show it up well but I'm very pleased with the result. Still awaiting the decals for the rear panels, once I have them I will finish them off.

Started fitting all the bits back on the tank.

Thanks for the offer of the spacer mate, forgot that the rear caliper bracket doubles as a spacer so it looks like I don't need one cheers!

*small update*

Been busy working on the hugger so still haven't finished the panels although I have the decals now.

Adding more fibreglass to give it its shape.

Every now & then fitting it to the swinger to check that it still fits.

Started filling it all.

Unfortunately the chain guard broke off so I decided to smooth it all first then stick it back together afterwards.

Finished shaping & added mounts.

Rebonded the chainguard & shaped it in.

G4 varnish applied.

Flatted down & Release agent applied.

Gel coat & first layer applied.

After a second layer the mould is made.
