Aye, I've heard that the blades are 80 quid each!! :eek3 I need the retainers as well (solid billet aluminium) as the piston caught those as well, god knows how. Still 26000miles & 15 years of use on it's original piston & rings is not bad.

Recieved these today. The springs & retaining pins I have don't fit though, they're slightly different.

Need to pop down to your local motor factors shop and take a look in the parts bin..I'm sure someone will have a spring to suit..

Small update:

Engine now back together, new piston, rings & gudgeon pin fitted along with inlet manifold & carb.

Thermostat plugged in & connected to the rad.

Inlet manifold & carb.

Just need to plumb everything in from the carb, then sort the electrics out buy a new battery & we're ready to go. :winner

Small update:

Got the exhaust on (finally!) ended up painting the standard wolf rear wheel as although the GS wheel aligns up correctly the spacer sits too far in leaving a slight gap to the caliper bracket. The front brake caliper won't go back on because one of the pistons is sitting proud so when I fit the pads I can't get it over the caliper mount on the fork. Still have no throttle cable (think I'll order one from somewhere else) I'm now missing a bolt that holds the left clip on onto the top yolk, I've also lost the little retaining clip & screw that holds the springs in the powervalves & I have 4 bolts left over & I've no idea where they go. TBH I'm getting pretty fed up with this bike now, sick of having it in the living room I've got oil everywhere & everything seems to be going wrong.

Anyway here's a couple of pics.

Jobs left to do:
1. get the wiring all plugged back in, routed correctly & attached to the frame.
2. Get throttle cable & fit it.
3. Get a battery.
4. Make a bellypan.
5. Fit & align powervalves.
6. Fit generator & cover.
7. Install all necessary fluids.
8. General tidying up & checks to make sure everything is tight & fitted correctly. A note to anyone who's doing a restoration/project take as many photographs as you can I mean of absolutely everything.

looking good Ben.. So you need a clip-on bolt.. M8 by how long? I expect we have a few at work..
So those 4 bolts you have left over? Send me a pic and I will have a guess as to where they should go

Cheers guys! Steve I don't think the bolt is M8, the thing is if you look back along this thread you'll see I had both of them originally.

Here's the bolts I have left over.

Here's a pic of the clipons bolted to the yolk.

Cant see them being 10mm bolts and I would think 6mm is far too small.
As for those left over ones.. All four the same!! So therefore at a guess two per side.. Need to look back on your post to see whats non standard.. Poss rear hanger bolts or s-arm bolts from the stock set but... I must come and have a look........
