Well chaps all went well apart from the weather but that was to be expected,i did struggle most of the day with my brakes and tyres but i always knew that was going to be the case although for new standard all round brakes there were'nt the worst ive even had,now i was the only 1.1 there so i never stood a chance,as much as its not meant to be that competitive but it is, i fear an engine change coming on over the winter or even another car we'll see,

Enjoy!!

Cheers, still not sure what iam doing well see,the cones are there to bring people into line to help them with there braking zone and to stop idiots trying to overtake to late causing unecessary bumps and shunts which we can all do without when most are just there for a little fun that said i could live without them

NOW THAT WAS WET......... If only it was dry for you..Ok more power would be nice but in the dry I'm sure your Cinq would eat up a few cars in the corners..With out those bloody cones in the way

Hi guys and girls,

Well a little update of sorts, after my weekend out on the track at Knockhill the Cento did me proud and i was able to release all the 73 horses lol,

My straightline speed was no where near enough for me and as much as i was going to be throwing more money at the engine over the winter iam not iam just going to go for a transplant that iam more than able to do myself with help along the way if needed, now iam not 100% sure what iam doing yet maybe the Stilo 1.4 16v mpi engine or the Punto 1368 16v mpi?? fitted with a simple induction kit and a remap and i will see how i get on from there beofore doing any money sapping mods to the new engines internals but to be honest i think either of them will be more than enough power for my track days next year remembering its going on a serious diet over the winter when i hope to be finished it?,

Well i have took the car off the road and it won't be taxed or mot'ed again so a road car its not,

I will require Knockhill to scrutaneer it for me to issue me with a years ticket for i think £25,so iam now in the market for nice little trailer to pull it on but there is no rush as i have lots of work to do over the next 6 months,

i will update me thread as and when i can over the next few months to keep you all in the loop but i have many jobs to do first before my engine change so that won't be happening till after the new year starts,so wish me luck lol iam going to need it,oh and if you have any spare money just feel free

All the best Scuderia

How much time/money are you willing to put into it Donald ..
I'm sure you can get a 1.4 GT engine inside the bay of a Cinq :ding
Or if you are totally mad then its got to be a bike engine but thats major work and investment...I'm sure what ever you do it will gain you more that 73bhp

Mmmh iam not made of money mate but thats why i have went for the engine transplant to start with, whether its the Stilo 1.4 16v or the Punto 1368 16v Huh? so apart from needing the wiring loom? donner ecu, engine, and its auxiliuries, exhaust manifold and some wiring and lots of time and patience , something i haven't got lol, i think iam looking at being ready for most if not all track day events at Knockhill from Spring on in 2010,so apart from all my other tasks i have to do and buy i have about £600 to spend on the transplant and if thats not going to be enough i will start to some seriues mods to the engines internals but to be honest i think either of the above engines in the Cento are going to make the little car pritty competive on straightline speed?,now iam sure the cost could and will go over just don't tell her in doors

Now a bike engine would be greattttttt and i would love it to be a Metro 6r4 based car,now iam just talking pure filth lol i think thats away past me skills,

How about doing hill climb events??? I'm guessing top speed does not really come into play.. Just shear 0-60 and a good hand brake

If ya gonna do hill climbs in it dude I would totally strip it like I have done to mine, you won't be carrying around a load of weight which ya don't need. Hill climb sprints have to have a light weight car for them to be effective, thats what I would advise, I have done it to mine as you know and you really do notice the difference. And it's a free way to get free BHP. Hope you are keeping well dude.

Hi Charlie,Oops i never called you did i ,what iam i like  , i told you so ,

To be honest i think iam onlt going to use it for track days and a little auto testing but the auto testing is a little further away in the planning stages,

Now i haven't been up to much this last few weeks as things have been mental up here but i have had a little time to start stripping it all down to loose some weight but nothing serious, yet ,i will post up some pic's later this evening if i get time,i have also been buying some new parts so as soon as they arrive over the next 10 days i will pop some pic's up,

See you about all the best Scuderia
