Well i have had a little time this weekend and have removed all the brake pipping, stripped the rear brakes, drums, backing plates and removed and cleaned the brake cylinders, removed the rear wheel bearings and gave them a good clean in the grease eater,i will re-grease them when iam doing the front bearings but all i have done on the fromt is removed the calipers and cleaned them ready for some black paint,i have also removed the front discs but thats about it for now,

Here are few pics from yesterday and today,

Front bake calipers and rear brake cylinders and rear brake fixings ready to be painted black,

Rear drums and shoes and LH backing plate all scrap

Front brake discs and RH  backing plate that i have kept for spares

I had a little time on my hands today so i removed the rear springs and shocks as well as the trailing arms and i also got the old bushes pressed out so over the next few days i hope to get the trailing arms as well as the front calipers all painted up once i have removed the front wishbones then i can have them all built back up,

Trailing arms and rear springs and shocks

More as the days and weeks go on,cheers all the best Scuderia

Hi,well i never had much time at the car today but i had enough time to remove the antiroll bar to remove the old bushes then i can give it a little rub down and give it a little spray to help freshen it up,the inner bushes are good so i onlt need an outer set as they are shagged,

Outer bushes are scrap but the inners are good,

I also got some bits and pieces, new M10 3/16 brake union nuts and bleed screws, paint and bearing grease,

I also had time to grease the rear hub bearings up so they are now ready to go back on when iam ready, thats about it for now,

Cheers Scuderia

Hi Guys and Girls, well i got a little more work done on the fiat today

I got both front struts dropped out and replaced the buggered top strut bearing

I also got the strut brace removed, front wheel arch liners and front brake flexi pipes,

I also dropped the front hubs, wishbones and drive shaft out in one unit and removed all 4 inner and outer bushes,

I removed the rear wheel arch trims to find lots of crud in behind them and after doing that i moved onto under the car and gave it a good brush down to remove all the crud and loose stuff ready for its under seal,

Now i was going to remove all the brake lines but the 2 that run from the bulk head to the fuel tank are good but the rest are scrap so they must go,when i removed the front wheel arch liners the lines hidden behind them were corroded

Now i was going to remove the fuel tank and replace it but at the minute i have decided to keep it as its in great condition but it may well still go we will just have to wait and see??,

Hi D, that is lookin sweet you have been well busy

Cheers Charlie,

Well i will start with yeasterdays mistake ,after painting under the car to help prevent any rust taking hold although iam pleased to say there wasen't any well pleased,

So yesterday i fitted the new powerflex bushes to the front inner and outer wishbones with no probs at all as i had already removed the old stock bushes but this is where my mistake took place when fitting the trailing arm bushes yesterday i never thought the steel sleeve needed to be removed as well as the old stock bushes so that set me back a good few hours but first thing this morning i managed to get them cut out and the trailing arm bushes greased up and pushed in,i also had time today to get the front struts back up in place and i also got the trailing arms fitted and the shocks and springs back up on but i still have the main trailing arms bolts to tighten up but thats not done until it back down on the ground when the weight is on the arms,i also got the rear brakes built up but i still have new split pins to fit to the handbrake cable and the drums to fit but i will get that done after i have made up the new rear brake lines,

Powerflex bushes fitted to wishbones

trailing arm sleeves removed and new bushes fitted

Front stuts fitted back up in

Underneath the car painted up to help protect it a little and the rear brakes built up but not finished, trailing arms back on as well as the shock and springs fitted,

Well thats about it as it family time for the next few days, cheers Scuderia
