Hi well bugger the wrist i say
although its throbbing
i wonder why?
Any roads i got the gear box oil drained over the weekend and got it filled back up with some new oil so that should look after the box for a little longer?
Well today i got the fuel tank drained and got the tank, ballast, pump, filter, filter housing, pipes, evap canister and all its pipes removed today so that is me more or less ready to buy some new braided fuel lines, clips, inline fuel pump and a new alloy tank for inside the car although i still have a little painting to finish off under the car from where the tank used to be as i could not do that the other week as it was still to be removed so i hope to get that done tomorrow?,
Cheers Donald

Hi,
Well i haven't been up to much as my wrist still isn't right but still life goes on as they say,
Well after removing the steel fuel pipes under the car because lets say they weren't up to much as they were starting to rust and that i no longer need any of the Evop system pipes either as i have done away with it all i made the decision to replace them with 8mm copper fuel line although i have had to solder some olives on the ends off all the new copper pipes so when i slip the new steel braided fuel lines over the top and clamp them up it helps to keep them from blowing off but to be honest there isn't much pressure on this fuel system so all should be OK,
Well iam not fare off to ordering the new fuel tank and pump as well as a none return valve to fit the breather outlet on the tank so if i do land on my roof its not going to gush fuel all over myself but as i said a few weeks ago as soon as i have the cash together i will buy it in one go and get the fuel system finished off,
I have got the new 8mm Braided fuel lines and fixing clips all i need to finish the job off is finishers to keep the ends of the braided fuel lines all nice and neat and i hope to get them this week all going well?
As you know i have already got all my harness eye bolts as iam just using the old seatbelt points on the rear arch and lap belt mounting points as they seem to be near as damn straight to the bucket seat harness eyes built into them and are keeping the harness straps at a good 45 degree angle from the mounting point to the bucket seat eyes but as you well know there is going to be 2 of the 4 point mounting points short as 2 off the old seat belt points are part of the stock seats and because iam replacing them with bucket seats i needed to buy 2 other eye bolts for my clip on 4 point harness's to work and the new eye bolts and plates arrived yesterday so i got them fitted in place inline with the outer eye bolt points that are down beside the inner sills,
Eye Bolts and 3mm x 65mm x 65mm plates
Before
After
I also painted the towing eyes with some red enamel paint,
Well as soon as i have more parts and work done on the car you can be sure i will keep you all updated,
