Hi,

Well i haven't been up to much but i removed the rocker cover yesterday and gave it a light sand down with some wet & dry followed by giving it a little polish,i was going to paint it but working at the car you can be sure i would mark or scratch it so i thought a little tidy up wouldn't do it any harm, its by no way perfect but its better than it was,

Well  in the next few days going to oder all the parts i need to finish off the fuel system but other than that i haven't been up to much more apart from tidying up some wires that are hanging about in the car that iam going to be using for the new fuel pump so i fitted some clips and got them tidyed up and pop-rivited in place,i also got some new seat mount bolts and washers ready for when i order the seats and mounts later this year?,

Cheers Scuderia

I might be tempted to do a trackday myself

Who do you book them with? as some people from a car club wanted to come up as part of a meet and do Knockhill but ive never done a trackday before nevermind try and organise one  but it would be good to have a few centos out

You can do club bookings in the evening in the summer months at Knockhill but you do need a few people over 30 i think??but i can't say what the price is sorry?

But if you wish to go on a calender track day its always best to book a week in advance and pay by credit card, its £45 and that covers you for 8 x 15 minute seasons or £55 if you pay on the day for you and the car and all you need is a full driving license and your mot certificate and if you don't have an mot you can have your car scuterneered for £25 at knockhill and that will last for one year but you do need to book that like an mot booking by phone,on the day it will also cost you £15 at the gate to get you and the car in on the day but if you book the week before it will only cost you £10 at the gate ,if you have a passenger that gate cost still apply to them also but it dose come down in price if there under 14 costing £8 but that does not cover them on the track iam afraid thats another £5 for them to go out with you on all 8 seasons,

The only other cost involved is helmet hire which is £2 a season so it cheaper to buy you own,

You need to be there for around 8am to sign in and then have your safety briefing then things set off around 9am,

Hope that helps Scuderia

Cheers mate

Knockhill is great if you are one for traveling around all the tracks in the uk its a must to visit, there are big calender events like the  British super bikes, btcc amoungst others so its always  well looked after and well funded and there is also lots to do when you are there like carting thats great fan but like most things in motorsport it all cost money thats the only down side but still track days are affordable if your into that kind of thing? and are looking for fun then go for it i say, as you well know mate,i would love to get down to Comb for the spring next year but iam still not sure if i can make it yet but i will be there at some point in 2010 iam just not sure which one??

Hi,

Well i haven't been near the car this week at all  although i have spend all my savings on it over the last few days so iam just waiting on the new parts to arrive but with the strikes iam not holding out much hope for this week,

Well i'm waiting on a new in-line fuel pump, fuel pump union fittings, more steel braided fuel line, braided fuel line finishers, alloy fuel tank, and yesterday i took delivery of the none return breather valve for the new tank as well as a new set of outer arb bushes,

Outer arb bushes

Fuel tank none return valve

I also ordered a new set of medium compound Toyo R888 tyres from Camskill and they should be here tomorrow so as soon as i have the bits and pieces i will pop some pics up,

Oh i have just bought another flywheel and have it booked into my local motorsport engineering workshop to have it lightened on the lathe although iam only taking it down to 5kg but iam also waiting on that to be delivered so i guess iam just going to have to be patient with these strikes,

Cheers Scuderia
