Well I part with my VT750 last week and have been wanting a replacement.. Ok not every one will like this but hey its german so surely it will never let me down
Its a 2000 BMW R1100 S.. I saw one this morning in Bristol (orange) but that guy was selling it via Ebay and could not end it early.. So back home we went..Popped on Pistonheads and saw this.. Jumped in the van and 200 miles later brought this back with me..

Thats what turned me on about it.. Some thing different.. A bit like my old bike.. I'm not one for a GSXR/CBR/ZZR..
And this BMW has a bucket load of torque.. In 6th gear the engine is doing 4,000 rpm and the bike is rolling along at 80mph.. 100 comes up quick although I'm not one for keeping it in 3 figures unless i can see 1 mile in front of me and NO bends..

Niiiiice! They're supposed to handle very well due to the horizontally opposed cylinders which gives the bike a low centre of gravity. Why did you pick it up in the van? Should've ridden it back you wimp lol! Surprised you didn't go the VFR route though.

I did not have insurance cover at the time..Bought the bike with out even taking it out
I was tempted with a VRF800 but to me they all look the same I wanted some thing a little different and the BMW fell into that group..  Its a real nice ride Ben. If i can get a set of our carbon wheels fitted it will look awesome and double the value

But can you handle the 97 BHP  You should try one out Ben..It put a smile on my face..Such great powder delivery from the shaft drive..And the front end does not dive under heavy braking..

Easy! Bet my wolf would give it a run for it's money specially round the lanes. Speaking of which I've managed to source a 150cc barrel & head for mine. Wink
