Hi,

Well the seats look the business my seats are good no tears or wear so they can stay for now till i can afford a cheap set of bucket seats then a pair of harness's,but like you its going to be next year or maybe ?? Xmas time ?? can't wait its the seats and harness that in my opinion brings it all together as well as a cage but that's not on my list of things to do YET

Cheers Scuderia

You need Sticks Like. It is like a sillicone sealer but more of an adhesive. It is AMAZING! Even bonds in the wet.
Once you use it it isn't coming off, ever! But it is more of a trade product so I don't know if places like B&Q would sell it, need to go to a builder's merchants.

Hi Charlie if it was me i would be using 2mm aluminium chequered plate bent and folded to the your required size?? i will be then maybe even drilling a few holes in it for effect, its no biggy job especially if your using 2mm think plate? that bends a treat and helps give it the strength you need when standing on it when she's not braking right into the corners :driving and then drill it in and pop-rivet it in place bobs your uncle,

hope that helps mate, although what you have done is a good job  and is good weight reduction that can only help Cool

Yeah I may go down that route however I do want to watch the weight on the plates as I don't want to pile on the pounds again

The weight reduction is going to be going in swings and roundabout's and to be honest theirs not much weight in the size of the plates your going to need, believe it or not the biggest weight reduction your going to make is when the front seats get removed and then your going to end up adding things like roll cage that in effect is going to be putting more weight back on ,keep up the good work all the best,

Yeah the cage is going to weigh in at 35-40kg with the Sparco cage which is ok as the car weighs in at 680kg so that will take me back up to 715 ,720kg. When I got the car we put it on the weighbridge at work and it weigh up at 790 kg. I can't wait to get my new seats in next year, a nice set of black and red Sparcos which in turn will hopefully drop it back down. But I will look into metal plate though, thanx D
