I think that I will use nylock nuts and bolts to hold my seat subframes together after nylocks are fairly tough  also today I ordered my new front discs (Black Diamond) from Larkspeed. They are the combi style and only cost me £127.00 including postage. :winner

Well I am glad to say that I got my car back at long last night  they have fixed the fuel tank leak and had to drill out a  bolt that had sheered off that was one of the securing bolts that held the tank in place to the rear beam. That was drilled out retapped and replaced with a new bolt, then they reshimmed my shims and installed my 866 cam. The car really does go like a bat out of hell and I am well impressed with this new mod. Now that the car is back I really can crack on working on it at the weekend :winner thunderbirds r GO!

Cars coming along well then man!

I saw you excellent sparco dished wheel - i was thinking of getting one but im not sure wether the boss and the dished wheel will bring the wheel too close to me to be comfortable. what have you found? I might go for a flat wheel, im not sure

i usually drive with the seat all the way back as im 6ft 1?

glad you have the lil beasty back charlie. i know you were getting miffed it was taking so long. so we shall see if she flies like **** thru a goose in a few wks at combe action day.

purf, you should be fine with the dished steering wheel, a flat one may pose a bit of discomfort tho. it will be quite comfortable as charlie will tell you. he is tall as well and had my ripspeed steering wheel on his cinq for a while now.

Well I have had more goodies arrive today one I got from work which is a aerospace quality polycarbonate back rear window, I had to make a template last night from my spare rear boot lid I have already had work make the two rear windows as well.   Easy when you have the contacts. If anyone ever wants me to make up any templates up for free then just let me know seeing as I made these templates may as well share lolThe other I got from Larkspeed which is a set of Punto GT black diamond  combi drilled and grooved combi discs ready to go with my Punto GT calipers   and a set of Red Goodridge stainless braided brake hoses.
Last night I put on my deep dish Sparco wheel, so Purf I hope you can see that it would go well in your car from what you can see in the pics.
Oh sorry about the pic with my cat Janga in it, he just wanted to get involved in the fun
So I have alot of work to catch up on and as I do I will give you all new pics to go with it.
Stay groovie!

Do the GT capliers/discs just bolt straight on or do you need to do a few mods?

Yep they just bolt straight onto your brake brackets but your car does need to be running on 14 inch rims and not stock 13's

Well today I have been busy stripping out both seats, harnesses and clened up the floor of the car and got rid of all the dirt and took off my black anti slip strips as well. Got the old paint out and repainted the floor as well as giving the calipers a nice coat of red paint. :winner
