Could be a number of things thats causing the problem..air leaks to more tech stuff like incompatible ecu between engine and car..you need to tell us what was transferred fron the sei engine onto the 75 one and give us as much detailed info as possible..

Hi Natalie

Did you change your ECU when you put in the 75 or did you keep the 1108 ECU in the car, if you did that would be your problem as the 1108 is SPI and the 75 is MPI.

Hi, hope you have solved this already, but i was looking into a similar problem with my sei and on a couple of other forums people have chnged the TDC sensor (the little thing that looks at the fly wheel) if you get an intermittant fault on this then the car will stall at low revs... after a while it becomes more and more difficult to start.

After checking all the easy things first (plugs leads and earth straps) i think that this should be your next port of call... they can be pricy but i would buy a cheap one from a scrappy and try it... if it works then get a new one in time.

Hope this helps you out... let me know how you get on!
