Well, drivers so far seem to be:

McLaren-Mercedes
Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton

Mercedes GP (Yes used to be called Brawn GP)
Nico Rosberg
Seat 2 - Nick Heidfeld? Michael Schumacher?Huh? ooer

Red Bull
Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber
Sounds pretty sensible

Ferrari
Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa
Hooray Massa is back (and winning kart races already)

Williams-Cosworth
Rubens Barrichello and Nico Hulkenberg (was the test driver)

Renault (if they are still there mind you)
Robert Kubica
Seat 2 - Kovalainen? or Grosjean again?

Force India-Mercedes
Adrian Sutil and Tonio Liuzzi
Go Sutil!!

Toro Rosso-Ferrari
Sebastien Buemi
seat 2 probably Jamie Alguersuari

US F1

No drivers confirmed
Jose Maria Lopez maybe if he brings a wad of cash

Campos Meta
Bruno Senna
Seat 2 Pedro de la Rosa? Nelson Piquet?? (will bring some cash to the team no doubt)

Virgin  (Manor team)
Timo Glock
Seat 2 tipped for Lucas di Grassi.

Lotus

No drivers confirmed
Jarno Trulli??

Sauber - Yup Peter Suaber bought his old team back from BMW and the FIA kindly allowed him to have Toyota's slot.

No drivers confirmed
Ex-BMW test driver Christian Klien might get a drive.

Unsigned 2009 drivers: Jarno Trulli, Heikki Kovalainen, Giancarlo Fisichella, Kazuki Nakajima, Nelson Piquet, Romain Grosjean, Kamui Kobayashi

Old hopefuls: Jacques Villeneuve, Pedro de la Rosa, Christian Klien, Alex Wurz, Anthony Davidson, Takuma Sato, Franck Montagny, Michael Schumacher

I wonder which teams will actually make it to the start line....

not convinced with some of them.

Latest hot tip Prodrive may be taking the reigns of the Renault team with Renault dropping to an engine supplier only.

Interesting really, as Cosworth are back engines will be Ferrari, Mercedes, Renault and Cosworth. Couple that with no refuelling and we are back to the days of who as the most efficient engine......last time we were there the FIA brought in a new rule to balance it out a bit.......pit stop refuelling.  :ding

Apparently there are going to be more points available too, down to 10th place. Sounds like its going the way of school sports - everyone has to win something and don't make too much of a fuss of the guy that came first - thats not fair.

Then again I did play a round of golf at work recently and my score was so bad that evreyone had already eaten their starters by the time we came in.  I won an Ipod for perserverance. elf haha

So looks like Lotus have confirmed drivers as:

Hokey Kokey Kovalainen
Jarno Trulli

Just aslo got told that apparently Schuie has signed a deal with Mercedes???

With Renault don't think it's very likely prodrive will take over as not ideal finacially for them.. Although as Aaron pointed out to me Nissan would make perfect sense as no Japanese teams currently..

Yup

Michael is back in the exBrawn Mercedes team along with Rosberg. And now I read that Ralf has suggested he's been offered a drive too (someones golf buggy as a paddock monkey I guess, surely he's not top quality driving material is he???).

Good thought about Nissan, can't see it though really. I can't quite see all the teams making it to the start line either - unless it ends up like the days of Simtek and others that turned up but were so off the pace that the FIA introduced the 107% rule to keep the milk floats off the track.

As for 25 points for the winner, I still think thats the biggest load of rubbish ever.  :eek3

Winter testing now, so lets see how they go in the pre-season, sand bagging and bragging sessions.

Massa is back in a car though.

Shall we have whip round and buy Donnington. Might get it for a pound if you can find someone to fund putting the track back into usable condition.
