Hi all & thanks for the warm welcome!

I cant believe i havent seen this forum before, looks cool

Iv had a cinq sporting for about 2 years now and i really like it.

It was pretty standard until it had an argument with a bush/ditch on a nice narrow country lane.

Done 113K now, iv done 25k in it and all the maintenance on it myself, bought it for £300 ...

spec:

- -40 blue springs
- K&N - with lifted bonnet to keep engine bay cool
- Sparco front strut brace
- Bilstein rear shockers
- 32mm throttle body
- uno wiper motor

heres some pics

when i got it

a year later - was listening to kings of leon a bit loud, 20k audi came tother way... lock brakes, ditch it to avoid hitting audi, who also didnt slow down much, but was all my fault basically! Its funny this image comes up on google images! doh!

needed two new wings, bumper i had recently replaced & resprayed cos of cracks was ok, bonnet was also fine.

concept - got the idea from watching racing at Thruxton, a seat cupra cup car for some reason was in red white and green. Then there was an old alfa in retro cars a few years back. I know its also been done before on a racing X 1/9...

Painted the green in a single pack that cost about £10 elf haha Got two new fiat wings and smoked repeaters elf haha

primed doors on car and then took them off to spray flat as it was last Dec and a bit cold!

This was two pack white provided for free by my neighbour Pete - thanks pete, who also helped with the spraying a lot!

Removed sun roof - if i was to do this again i would have removed the front screen and roof trim strips! but it took a week of solid work without doing this!

finished without any graphics and an odd headlight.

At retro rides Haynes museum sprint in sparkford aug 09

bonnet lifted with washers to aid cool air and allow fitment of the k&N and strutbrace :p... and look cool

My wife of 1 yr has got another cinq sporting , standard in broom yellow, its interesting to compare the cars on a daily basis.

hope this isnt too many pics elf haha

when i get some cash i really need some new wishbones and front struts... and new rear bushes elf haha
and eventually itl get a 1242 or 1.4 when its required and would love a supersprint manifold... so if anyone had a spare one elf haha

Is this site the dark side? cos i like it

awesome love the paintwork. Makes me miss my cinq. as for the 1242's the are becoming hard to get as a whole engine including all the bitz. make sure it is a punto 60 engine as one of our members was duped on one said it was but turned out it wasn't. where you based at? if your close enough would be nice to see you at our combe track day events.

for car parts if you call big mick (details in discount section) he gives a great deal on fiat and after market parts for fiats. he's a top bloke.

as for the site well i guess we could be the darkside  . but boy do we have a blast on here and at our events. we are a mad lot but friendly. for some reason it doesn't come up on google when you look for car clubs so other clubs have kindly let me advertise on their sites as we affiliate with other clubs.  so how did you find the site?
