Mk2 Golf...... old is sooo cool ;)

little update , i put the p slots off and my audio install as i rely need a car so just want it on the road asap , so i sorted the wiring for the radio (was a bloody mess) pulled the dash apart and fitted new heater matrix it was dead a leaking, new disks and pads on the front as they were bad the pads were falling apart (i think the mot was a lil dodgy as it wouldn't have passed with front brakes like that) i also painted the calipers, new front tyres and quick paint of the steelies to get them nice, now all that needs done is a check over of the rear brakes but they had been done for mot so fingers crossed they ok should be , and paint the back wheels. then need to sort a tappy noice on engine which my dad thinks is a tappet block and the auto choke needs fiddleing with , then insurance and tax shouldn't be long now

was thinking about going all out rat on it and just smash the s**t out of it lots of rust matt paint n crap in a roof rack but ithink its to good of a shell to reck so she staying as she is , i soo carn't wait to get it rolling . Also i am gona do the p slots asap after she is road legal but the aint going on untill i can afford some low pro tyres which i will get cheeper since dad can get em thru work (soo handy lol) and some budget £150 ebay special coilovers and lownesssssss

right i got this on the road a few days ago , but with the choke as it was it ran but didn't like to start when it was cold since it basicly had no choke, got a new carb with working choke fited it today and it seems to be working fine, also since my engine has alot of miles on it i am picking a low milage one up on saturday 42k aparantly its still in the car and gettng removed for me friday. this will be going in when mine dies. also just spent 3 hours polishing her still aint finished but its dark now, gona finish cleaning tomorro and will get some pics up , i also have my steelies painted in silver so they nice and not scabby no more.

Sounds like its gettig there STU mate, are ya gonna keep it the same colour or ave ya thought about sumfing different , around my way some of the guys & girls come to think of it are painting there cars in the stealth style ie: like a cross between satin black/blackboard paint, sounds a bit yuk but looks the dogs boll_ lacks if done right and it seems cheap to do, I ave even seen stuff like BMW 6 series done like it complete wiv black wheels and windows if I see anything about my way parked up and I can get a pic of it without someone saying why are you taking a pic of my car then getting thumped  I'll show you I founds some pics to give you a idea of
I ment we even started on my sons 70cc Gilera & 172cc Typhoon/NRG b4 they got stolen

i think i will get it painted orig colour if i get it done properly but i was rely considering doin it mat black with tins, one of the lads on the dubnortheast forum i use just sprayed his polo and it looks epic , but i'm just not too sure on a mk2 golf in matt back ?? n i love the e30 and the mk5 golf. the peds look good spesh the runner always liked them     a lad i no had his mk2 golf sprayed beige and it looked soo cool proper retro but i dnt wana be copying .i rely want it painted cuz it looks like crap when you get up to it but just getting it running well at mo , when i get it done i'm gona weld the bump strip holes up cuz i hate the black peices of crap on the side lol and weld the badge holes and wiper hole up cuz i want it smooth then was thinking i cud wire the set of dixie horns i have in the garrage up with the rear wiper switch when i get it removed, but it rely needs coilovers and my p's finished they geting here tho

Na once a ped gets stolen around our area they are gone for good never seen again normally once stolen within a couple of hours they are stripped down for parts or the are totally given new ID's like false plates frame/engine numbers removed then used for some criminal activity like nicking more peds or street robbery its actually very well organised by the all the different street gangs in our areas,
anyway it happend a long time back so  it now he's more in to cars now anyway, and I am glad his younger bruvver aint bovvered about getting a ped cos I couldnt put up with all that hassle again

no good that , if the police would actully catch them unlike picking on people for the smallest of things. i finish college next week so i shal be getting more work done on the golf i think i pretty much got it in my head i want it resprayed properly when i'm done smoothing the bits i want. carnt wait to get more work done

Yeah my eldest son finishes collage soon as well   I fink, I never know half the time when he goes in  his tutors are either in a meeting or they don't turn up so he gets sent home   knows how he'll pass his electrician exam/course I feel sorry for him, he is trying for a apprenticeship but not a lot about, still at the moment he don't give a   he's trading in his old 360 for the new slimline updated new XBOX 360 that's coming out in July he's reserved it so he's happy,his using some of his E.M.A (collage money thing)
oh and the police around our way, couldn't catch themselves let alone catching any crims they are useless except if you ware a hoodie in the local shopping precinct then they think your public enemy No 1 (sure I am  ) cos no hoodies allowed, they don't understand that is gets cold some parts of the year

i no what that feels like i always get sent home or have lke a huge brake cuz of tutors in meeting etc , i'm goin to uni in sept to do automotive engineering i'm in but have to get 220 ucas points which i hopefull y will its like a distinction-merit i think so fingers crossed. hope you son passes mate.
