I know it comes up often, can you run 15" wheels on a Cento.

Well you can, but I would not go above 6" wide, and I would fit 165/50 15 tyres, Bridgeston RE040 is what I have fitted and are easy to get as are an OEM tyre for Daihatsu Copen.

The turn in is much better, and the steering wheel is much improved over the 185/50 14 Conti's we ran before. In fact the tyre size is closer to original fit 165/55 13 on Cinqs Sei's, and the 175/50 14 on Sei Abarths, BUT these tyres cost less than £50 each fitted, some way cheaper than the £80 for 175/50 14 Pirelli P6000, or even £70 for 185/50 14 Conti or Yokohama's.

Grip is much better as the side wall is flexing less, we get way less wheelspin puling away.

And another bonus for us is we no longer get the tyre rubbing on the gearbox as the 6 speed box is longer.

The wheels we have fitted are Lancia Thema 16V turbo wheels, 15X6" ET37, we still run the standard 10mm spacers at front and the 3mm spacers at rear we always run after doing the rear caliper conversion.

Since these pictures were taken the new Abarth centre caps have arrived from Italy.

The 500 is Emma's Dad's, but as our car is a 600 it must be better!

Loved the look of these wheels so much that I've managed to source a set myself.

Just need to decide on what colour to have the sprayed, white or anthacite.

Yes they are remarkably like the RS wheel, wouldn't surprise me if they were made by same manufacturer, Speedline maybe as they do lots of OEM wheels.

I have now fitted some new Abarth centre caps i got from Italy which look wonderful and have sourced a 2nd set of these wheels for our Cinq.

So going to have to buy a 2nd set of the Bridgestones now as they are excellent wheels, the car is bloody brilliant with this size of wheel and tyre, so much better than it was on the 185/50/14. Though to be fair on a 6" wide wheel on a 195/45 14 tyre it is good as well, but the 165/50/15 tyres are almost half the price, crazy.
