HI all

im not sure if you need spacers but i dont think so if you do i would of thought 10mm would be the most your need as for tyres id stick with 175 50 14 and go for pirelli's if your after budget than sonar do some in 175 50 14 as well

cheers rich

they're 5.5J so 185/14 is the biggest you can fit. Conti Sport are a good option. 10mm spacers (you can still buy the Abarth spacer kit from FIAT). Should cause no scrubbing issues.

so will i need to use spacers to fit the alloys? and do you fit them to rear and front or just one end. Also does it matter what spacer u use or can u just get universal.

Standard these when fitted to seicentos had 10mm spacers at front only & a full stud & nut conversion which is very nice but the studs/nuts are very expensive.

The spacers from Fiat are good price about £35 & you really need to fit them to get the front track correct.

Tyres as standard are 175/50 14 but 185/50 14 do fit and are cheaper but you get mire sidewalk flex, decrease in steering feel & slow turnin speed from the sidewall flexing. Do not fit 195/45/14 tyres they are far to wide and will give very poor turnin with vague steering feel.

I'd use a stud conversion every time (ebay will find something suitable) -- thread is M10 x 1.25 (same as Subaru). You'll need to measure the length. At rear length of bolt (end to end + 5mm -- assuming the old nuts work). At front same but + 10mm and + 5. Use open nuts (not the closed end ones).

195/45/14 are just too big for 5.5J wheels -- 6 or 6.5J is recommended.

If you want longer studs get them from rally design, the one on ebay i found to be really bad quality . . . . .  seriously ignore them!

yh im a bit confused with all the talk about stud conversions and longer bolts. i thought that theses alloys would bolt straight on cos scicento and cinqs are so similar. im gunna hav to leave the alloys for a while anywayas i want to save more money up to collect more parts for the engine conversion. But hopefully wen the new engine is in i can crack on with a bit of styling like interior and tinting. cheers

They won't "just fit" 'cos you've got to allow for the spacers!

Studs are better both in engineering and practical terms (much easier to get the wheel on). Don't use universal spacers.

hey man

I got some 15mm Delta Mics hub centic spacers for my alfa wheels. They are 13 x 6J with standard 165 55 13 tyres...

They are about £30 inc delivery and come with long bolts with a chrome finish. Although i rekon studs do look cool these spacers are not that difficult to fit at all.

They're a little cheaper as they are steel and mine have been great. I gave them a spray up in red so they didnt go rusty, although i think they are zink plated.

http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/

their site will not let me paste a direct link - but look in products for punto wheel spacers. part number WS-7947  = Wheel Spacers - 2 x 15mm - Steel

I dont rekon you will have any clearance issues with 175 50 tyres. they are 19mm larger diameter (according to tyre calculator) so the tyre will be 9.5mm vertically closer to the arches than your standard 165 55 13 cinq tyres... have a check.
