F1 is off to Canada. Anyone remember Mansell waving to the crowd on the last lap way off in the lead and stalling the Williams at the hairpin...consequently was classified 10th or something. Wonder if the Red Bulls will be smiling at each other. Anyone seen the photo of them smiling and shrugging? not the same body langusge as Vettels wiggly finger after the clash. Anyone much care really?

Talking of Mansell, you have to admire the man taking a car to Le Mans with his two sons. What a team, and pretty much self funded too. Hope they get a finish. Makes me think I should have got over there this weekend, rather than looking out the window at another grey sky here.

Oh well, back to F1.... is this one the breakthrough for Schuey. A come back win? (I doubt it really, more likely a Red Bull...and Vettel at that just to prove a point).

Come on Sutil.

Had to look it up. 1991. Mansell had lapped everyone up to second place, including Patrese his team mate. Piquet took the win.

Heres the grid for tomorrow:

Canadian GP grid
Saturday, 12 June 2010

1  HAMILTON      McLaren       1m15.105s
2  WEBBER        Red Bull      1m15.373s
3  VETTEL        Red Bull      1m15.420s
4  ALONSO        Ferrari       1m15.435s
5  BUTTON        McLaren       1m15.520s
6  LIUZZI        Force India   1m15.648s
7  MASSA         Ferrari       1m15.688s
8  KUBICA        Renault       1m15.715s
9  SUTIL         Force India   1m15.881s
10 ROSBERG       Mercedes      1m16.071s
11 BARRICHELLO     Williams
12 HULKENBERG      Williams
13 SCHUMACHER      Mercedes
14 PETROV          Renault
15 BUEMI           Toro Rosso
16 ALGUERSUARI     Toro Rosso
17 DE LA ROSA      Sauber
18 KOBAYASHI       Sauber
19 KOVALAINEN      Lotus
20 TRULLI          Lotus
21 GLOCK           Virgin
22 SENNA           HRT
23 DI GRASSI       Virgin
24 CHANDHOK        HRT

Yup, Schuey couldn't make it into the top 10 and was out qualified by a pair of Williams.

Hamilton is on soft tyres for the start, gambling that an early safety car will let him get onto the preferred hard tyres for the rest of the race.

Both Force Indias are up there, with Liuzzi really pushing hard - maybe under a bit of pressure to perform I think.

Lets see how it goes tomorrow.
