Well, I like Suzuka. Its an old circuit, it doesn't have huge run offs, its a figure 8 like your Scalextric and its always been eventful. Shame they trashed the chicane.

Qualifying...well there wasn't any. Looks like it rained all day. Practice 3 was washed out and qualifying followed. Good job i didnt get up early to watch it then, recorded it instead.

Anyway, qualifying will now take place at 10am local time Sunday morning, thats about 3 am UK time so I might not get up for that and await the surprise at 7 for the race start.

Hamilton needs a result here, but the McLaren seems to have lost a bit of pace recently, just a bit. Webber needs to keep ahead of Vettel, and Alonso ....well hopefully he'll get a radio message 'they are faster than you, understand?'

hmmm. A bit of rain will mix it up, a lot of rain will be a disaster. Then Korea to follow assuming they actually finish the track....

oh well, lets see how it goes in the morning.

On my ds again. Will catch the qualifying on iplayer sometime.
So, no rain, Vettel pole with webber, kubica, alonso, button to follow. hamilton in 8th with a 5 place drop for a gbox.

Start - Away goes Vettel, Hamilton gets up behind Jenson and away they go....only a bit furthr back Petrov takes out Hulkenburg and Massa takes out Liuzzi. Safety car.

uneventful restart, apart from Kubica losing a rear wheel during the Sc time..
oh i forgot to mention Di Grassi didnt make it to the grid after losing it in 130R and ending in the wall.

Kobayashi was the one to watch, fantastic banzai overtakes into the hairpin.

hamilton suffered loss of 3rd gear but kept it going to the end. Rosberg pitted on lap one but ended the race in the wall towards the end.
result vettel, webber, alonso, button, hamilton, schuey, kobayashi, heidfeld - cant remember any more.

ill update it a bit later. good race though.
