thanks people , martin the car is a tx which is a 1.6 8v carb but it had a gti lump put in it a few years back in the future it will most likely see most of the other gti additions like vented front breaks and a rear disk set up but its staying as it is bar mantanance ect and change of wheels as the golf needs built :P.. your punto is a nice little thing but if you dont use it n fancying something german you could always have something to tinker with on the drive i was nerly gona buy a 316 e30 or e21 but the insurance was still far to much with them being rwd and the fact that parts are expensive with old vws i have a lot of parts and have a fair few friends who hord parts and break old golf regularly and i bloody love jettas :P

  Love the colour mate.. And those wheels I'm sure you will get your rattle cans out and come up with an awesome colour like the Lupo ones
