Well, not too long to wait now then. - 9 weeks till the first race in Bahrain.

No more Bridgestones now that Pirelli are back with the tyre supply. Kers makes a comeback as well, together with moveable rear wings. 'I'd have won the championship if i'd had a moveable rear wing' says Alonso. (you'd have won the championship if you'd overtaken a certain Renault is more to the point I'd say).

And what about the future? 4 pot 1600 turbos......sounds like a honda to me. limited to 12,000 rpm though.....sounds like a sewing machine then, sort of drone like. Bit sad really, i quite like the current F1 screamers.

Don't have a full driver line up yet, but I'll post it as it gets confirmed. If you can't wait till March, you could always take a trip to Spain and watch the test sessions (or not).

Might snow again this weekend. Can't wait  :driving

5 weeks until Bahrain. Fancy a go?Give HRT a call, they have a spare seat. Might need some cash and a Super Licence I guess.

Looks like Liuzzi may try for the hrt seat. hmm ok. Well the Valencia test seems to report that Pirelli tyres lose grip quite a lot as they wear...could add a bit of action I guess together with Kers and flappy rear wings.
Looking at the team reports on their new cars everyone has been radical and 'stepped forward'. that'll mean not much change in running order then really. only kidding. hope lotus can run with the mid field- they have the renault engine and red bull gbox....who knows. Massa managedto bring a new meaning to flame red during testing. not long. lets see how the next test goes.

Dancing on Ice just doesn't cut it really does it.
Interesting news from Jerez, Bruno Senna must be driving his socks off to try to pick up the seat left open by Kubica's predicament. Cant really see LRGP (think thats the new shortened name for Renault) not putting a more experienced driver in though.....but who? Williams had a whole bunch of problems before finally topping the times. Lotus look to be a bit quicker, and the Virgin car soon parked up with a problem....hmmm nothing new there then. HRT still havent named their 2nd driver. Wont matter much though will it, really.
Barcelona is the next test, and then its prepare for the first race. 4 weeks to go.

Just watching thenews tonight. Seems like some unrest in Iran now, to follow the Egyptian stuff.....and also a bit in Bahrain..ooer, will the first race have a problem? i doubt it really. Kubica continues to make progress, and Mercedes are claiming everything is good with the new car. Funny, but the cynic in me thinks Schuey wont be topping the timesheets once the real racing starts.....

I reckon Shuey should join Jason Plato and the rest of the Grand-dads in BTCC

So Bahrain has postponed/cancelled, still talk of running it between Abu Dhabi and Brazil at the end of the year.
Kubica is talking up his progress, lets hope he can make the recovery he needs.
Looks like Heidfeld will run the Renault Lotus GP [doesnt sound right to me].
Barcelona test seems to point to Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes at the front.
As for Schuey in the BTCC, might be a bit of fun. He should try an afternoon in a DS420 around arena essex, that would be a real treat.

Oh the velodrome opened today....on your bike then.

Williams launched their new livery today. err its white round the edge and dark blue in the middle - bit like last years then...oh well. Good to see Williams looking good in testing, please carry it through into the race season.

McLaren seem to have suffered a bit with shortage of testing miles compared to the otherfront runners. Maybe the delay to the season start will help....but maybe the lack of track time will remain an issue.

No likey, no lighty - maybe this'll be Bernies next big idea. Ah well, 7 days till they get started in Australia. So what do you make of the headlines? Schuey really on top in the Merc? Or were they showboating? My guess is Ferrari and Red Bull will have the pace, Renault, McLaren, Merc and maybe Williams and Sauber squabbling close behind. Virgin, Lotus, Hrt will all be trying to keep up with Toro Rosso, but i really can't see them making it into the top 10 without some serious failures going on elsewhere.
Those failures could well come from Kers and flappy rear wings getting stuck in compromising places destroying performance. Can't really see either mod helping much in Australia - then again Bernie may well bring his watering can. Can't wait. elf haha
