Hey all

Now im getting somewhere interesting with my cinquecento resotration project i thought id post on here. Back in May i got a nice cinquecento to repair and get on the road. No MOT, engine or seats - no problem!

I have lots of juicy bits to put on from my past cars so it should be nice once finished.

I've finally got the engine running after i connected the fuel supply to the fuel return on the throttle body, which got one of the relays a little bit hot... then found the alternator was seized up from being in storage for ages.

The car needs a new wing, arb bushes and lots of tidying up. I might paint it matt black, but im not sure yet, may stick with gloss black?

Hi all

got the engine running, a little rough as i think one of the coil packs is a faulty one i have fitted by accident. Now i just have to let the ecu learn and take it for an mot. Quite a few little jobs to do first though.

Right - I've ordered the paint at last!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Military-Vehicle-Paint-2-5Ltr-5Ltr-Cans-All-Colours-/220725241176?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Paint_Varnish_MJ&var=&hash=item7914187ce0

Satin Black Military Vehicle paint! So hopefully no stone chips as you'd get with single pack poly. and its very Cheap! I'll be applying it with a roller panel by panel. I was sorly tempted by battle ship grey and olive drab, but ill be keeping the car black.

Ashamed to say no photos yet but half the abarth kit is fitted and i'm waiting to get hold of a passenger side front wing. I have fully smoothed the rear and almost finished rubbing the car down with wet n dry. All bilstein shocks and -40 springs are on.

The car has'nt been out of the shed for about 6 months!

Photos coming soon

I finished the tailgate, and front bumper today. Evenings are getting short!!! more pics soon

Planning to pick up a new wing and some other little bits at the weekendm the local scrappy sells wings for £6 !!!.

Hey I will try!

I can confirm engine runs sweetly with the manifold pressure sensor connected to the correct place... Wink

Paint prep is taking forever! rear screen is back in. I cannot figure a way of connecting the momo horn push as i have the wrong contacts on the steering wheel boss for the sei style stalks. So I will probs fit a switch on the dash until i figure something out. Basically a wire that can spin as the steering wheel turns Huh? any ideas

Also does anyone know how to disable the reverse inhibitor? I have previously fitted a omp gear knob which holds the collar/remains of old knob down. But I think this makes the gearchange slighly awkward? I will research...

check this beast out elf haha I found online whilst searching for a wing - i would like a bonnet like that elf haha http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Breaking-1996-Fiat-Cinquecento-900cc-Rear-Lights-/250907857105?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a6b4610d1

Hi Purf when I fitted my Sparco X-speed I cut it off and then got a large alloy washer as a reverse gear selector and then got plastic padding's metal bonding glue stuck it on the end of the gear knob, stuck it on the gearstick 20 minutes later glue had bonded, job jobbed.
