Took a call from our son this morning at 145AM  Thought it was a good idea phoning mum 'n' dad to tell us his car wont start..
Had a quick look at it today and removed all the plugs and turned the engine over.. I could not seem to get any sparks for the plugs!!! Surely both coil packs would NOT give us at the same time??
Any help would be very much appreciated..

Just to add to this the car made it to his mates house just fine. They where baby-sitting. Then when it was time to leave (around 130am) the car failed to fire up?? So they thought ok lets bump start it!! So the pushed the car backwards with the drivers door open................
And he failed to think about a car parked near by so the door of the Sei hit the mirror of this parked car  Ok no big deal I hear you say but you should see the fold its made on the Sei door.. The door DOES NOT close now. Its held shut with a dog lead so until we can get the car started I cant look at removing the door until the car is back home. URGENT HELP NEEDED..

Thinking it could be a coil pack down I removed all the plugs and checked for sparks.. NONE.. Now I find it hard to believe that BOTH coil packs would have failed at the same time. Someone pointed me in the direction of the crank sensor and as above job done  :winner :2nd :3rd
What with the CV boot last week and the crank sensor today Khris's bill is getting fairly big now!! Next item to consume pound notes from my wallet is a door from the scrap yard
