Well I picked my new car up today & fairly happy although I think I got nabbed on the way home by a bloody camera van on the A21. Also got to a friends to show off the new purchase & couldn't shut the bonnet even after they told me they had fixed it. Got another latch off egay coming. Very comfortable, seriously fast wasn't as thirsty as I thought it was going to be but far too quiet I think an induction kit & exhaust are required. Pictures tomorrow it's far too dark now.

Well when I left Wickford yesterday after a brief visit to a mates & it took ages to get the bonnet to shut properly on the way home the car developed a slipping clutch & a buggered air flow meter. Basically it's not "fit for purpose" (I believe the legal term is) so the dealer will be getting a phone call tomorrow I want it either sorting out or a full refund. I won't name & shame them just yet I'll give them a chance to act first but let's just say I'm less than happy.

A small update I took the car back today & they've lent me a car which is good service so fingers crossed they sort out the 166. I will be singing their praises if they do.

Let's hope they do sort it. You should charge 'em for petrol as well for having to take it back. It's not cheap these days.

Another development hopefully the last one. I spoke to the dealer today & they assure me they are sorting it out all I have to do is pay for the clutch kit, they are fitting it free of charge as well as supplying/fitting a brand new air flow meter & bonnet latch.
